Hold the wheel
Everyone is in the red. It is hard. It is supposed to be.
Overload is playing out in every part of your body. Your heart cannot pump the blood that your legs are asking for. Your mind is in a whirlwind of thoughts, which the lack of oxygen makes it hard to decipher.
Adding complexity to the situation will not work but always seems to be the default. We think about the future, a time that may not even come. We ponder the past through our foggy glasses. Nothing is clear. Simplicity is screaming out to be called upon.
“Just hold the wheel” bellows into the ear drums. Did it come from someones mouth or was the internal noise suddenly external? What does is matter the message is clear. The instruction is simple. The execution of the order can also be, if we so choose.
The eyes lock onto the wheel in front, it is a singular point of focus. Everything else is irrelevant. Of course the same chaos is going on in the periphery. The heart is still working at its maximum, the legs are still screaming and the thirst for more oxygen grows deeper. But now there is a focus. The piece of the puzzle that keeps you in the game.
It is so simple. It’s been on offer all along. It’s ok that it took a while to find it. It welcomes you at any time.
No matter where or when, if things are chaos, just find the wheel and hold it.
