The Race

We often start with a race in mind. It is the goal that society always tries to guilt us into having but it is counterintuitive for the most part as it is the end point of a certain period of our life rather than the start and we are so often told to start at the start.

But why you ask?

Simple. The start point is the preparing, the training, the journey, all the things that we must first address for us to get us to the start line anyway.

“But I need a goal to start” you are screaming at me right now. I counter you and politely inform you that if you think you need the race to start then we have some bigger issues to ponder over a long black.
