Too fast, too slow
When I was a kid I was always told to “stop running”, “slow down”, “be patient” and that generally I was “moving too fast.”
On the flip side slowness seems to be the undoing of many. We miss opportunities, we are late to the party or we read the news from the fish and chip paper if we go about life too slowly.
There will never be a “right speed”, there is no speed that fits all either. The ultimate equilibrium in life is found when we identify the things that need to be done fast and those that need to be done slowly and execute.
We must remain flexible to change our speed along the way and thus ultimately move at the speed that brings us the most happiness and not the speed that society tells us to move at.
